That and This!

First Asparagus tastes so good!  I had enough for a couple of meals and roasted it.  Yum!

I defrosted my freezers and found lots of packages of raspberries I need to use up before the fresh ones start so made a pie.  I have not been making very many pies this year due to lack of energy from Lyme Disease. (Well, maybe a little laziness too!)

My new strawberries are doing well.  The instructions say to  cut off the blossoms until July.  They are everbearing plants so should get a few berries after that this year.

This is the cover I keep over them so that Coco does not eat them or pull them out!

My Sugar Peas grew in spite of the fact that I forgot to water them for awhile after I planted them!

I forgot to shut the garden gate and of course Coco took that opportunity to sneak in and eat the top off this one asparagus!

We had visitors today!  Gracie is playing the piano for Nana and Papa!

Cali is learning to play also.  I love to play my piano and it makes my heart happy to see they are learning too.

Time for a little Barbie Doll attention now.  I need to watch the garage sales for more Barbie clothes.  I don't have the patience to sew those little things!  Thanks for visiting!!!

Growing at Last!!

The weather the past couple of days has been so nice and things are starting to grow!  This is the flower/raspberry bed.

I cut the Clematis back and it is growing.  Can you see it towards the top of the picture?

Spearmint came back!

Chives are doing well!  Can't wait for those pretty lavender blossoms!

I was going to throw this little bench out but Sue talked me into keeping it so found a place in the garden to put it.

So far the new strawberry plants are doing well!

Comfrey came back again.

The Chandelier Pear tree is in bloom by the deck!  We have a lot of them around the area.  Wondering if I am allergic to the blossoms!

The blossoms on the peach tree are opening up!!  I love the pink color!

This is one of the Asian Pear trees starting to bloom.

Coco patiently waiting for me to get in the recliner to rest so she can get on my lap!  Thanks for visiting!

Rain, rain and more rain!

Rain, rain and more rain!!  We sure have gotten enough of it lately.  Better rain than snow I guess although we have had a little of that also.  This was a path through my flowers but now it is a river.  It will dry up quickly once this rain stops!

Daffodils are about the only thing we have blooming in our yard.  I wish I had some of those sweet little crocuses.  Maybe next year!

This is my newly planted strawberry bed.  I understand that strawberries are pretty hardy but I am taking no chances!  I cover them almost every night!

I don't know if you can see the blue on this bird or not but it has been a real treat to have this bluebird come visit our yard a few times this year as we no longer have a bird feeder to feed the birds.

They are gone!!  Those overgrown bushes are gone.  Now to decide what to put in there and get them planted.

A beautiful rose to brighten my day from my secret admirer!  I love my secret admirer!!  Like you I am looking forward to spring!  Hang in there friends!!

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
